Some of the things I have made

While I do enjoy (and, I think, am good at) a number of creative ventures, I am unfortunately a mediocre photographer.Nevertheless, if you would like to use one of these photographs (I am not sure why you would) please contact me for permission. Accordingly, form your opinion with the knowledge that I regularly put my finger on both my computer and phone cameras, and then just sort of wipe it off with my sleeve if I notice things look excessively cloudy in pictures.

Textiles

I have been sewing and knitting for about twenty years. In the past three years or so, I have also developed an interest in spinning my own yarnI bought my first spinning wheel in January 2020. I didn't realize at the time that I would soon be given the opportunity to stay at home and practice on it for hours every day. and dying it myself.

Baking

I am also interested in baking, both bread and other foods. I grew up in San Francisco surrounded by sourdough bread, and I enjoy working to recreate a bit of that experience in upstate New York.

Wooden Spoons

I have recently developed an interest in carving wooden spoons. This arose after my dog ate two very precious and irreplaceable wooden spoons I owned, in a complicated and intense test of my love for her. I decided to try developing some carving skills, and hope to work up to the possibility of someday recreating those earlier spoons myself.
